I really don’t even have to say it, as there hasn’t been a new episode of my Hollow Knight playthrough for a long long time. Part of it is due to the changes I mentioned in the past weeks, but there were other important reasons.
So there we have it, Pilot Season is over, the polls are closed, the votes tallied and out from the shadows comes the brand new, reigning, defending, undisputed Let’s Play Champion, Hollow Knight! This is the game I’ll be playing for the foreseeable future, doing my best not to record episodes while I’m sleep deprived…starting from episode 3. A few weeks ago I once again recorded episodes for Let’s Play series for my YouTube channel, setting up pilots for you all to vote on. Hollow Knight, Ori & the Blind Forest, Dead Cells and Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom. These are the games I’d like to run a Let’s Play for, but I will only go on with the one you choose.
The polls have been open for a while now and they will remain so until this Sunday, when I’ll pick the winner and push on with the second episode of a new series. As of writing, Hollow Knight is at the front with 60% of all votes, with Ori & the Blind Forest and Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom following behind with 20% each. It doesn’t seem like people enjoyed Dead Cells very much.
If you haven’t voted, here’s a recap of every pilot, along with the episode so you can check it out and make up your mind. Above all, I hope you enjoy them! You can find the poll at the bottom and on The Mental Attic’s front page!
It’s certainly been a few good weeks for my Let’s Plays. I’ve had the chance to get back into it, not only recording these episodes for YouTube and editing them–though mostly it was sound I edited, there wasn’t much to edit on the video side for these–but also on the broadcasting front. I’ve found a nice schedule that works for me and let’s me be live on Twitch for three days a week, playing games and building plastic models. Continue reading Pilot Season – All Candidates
This is week three of the pilot season, where I show the first episode of a few Let’s Play series, you vote which one you like the most and I keep playing that game to the end. The second most voted for comes afterwards and the rest fade into oblivion.
It’s week 2 of the Pilot Season, where I show the first episode of potential new Let’s Play series and you help me decide which one will go past the first episode into a full series on The Mental Attic’s YouTube Channel. Last week it was Ori and the Blind Forest, a lovely little metroidvania, so this week let’s finish getting the platformers out of the way, with the first episode for the game I’ve written and spoken about the most in the past few weeks, the Metroidvania Souls-like H0llow Knight. Hope you enjoy this fun little episode, where I use some pogo skills to get early access to a lovely little item that makes me more powerful when I’m close to biting the dust!
Next week it’s the Rogue-like Dead Cells, where I’ll try to put on a good show before I inevitably get my butt kicked in horrible ways! See you then and don’t forget to vote!
No, there isn’t a game called Pilot Season, at least I don’t think there is. But you know how Amazon has that yearly Pilot Season, where they stream TV pilots so people pick the ones that will become full fledged series? I’ve decided to do the same thing with Let’s Plays. Continue reading Let’s Play – Pilot Season!
I love platformers, they take me back to my childhood playing Super Mario Bros. with my sister on our NES, each struggling to reach the next level in the classic Nintendo title and all but whistling the 1-1 tune out of memory months later.
Lately I’ve been playing a slew of games. I got a Playstation Vita on the cheap side to play Ys: Memories of Celceta and Ys Seven. I got a New Nintendo 3DS to replace my old one (it’s an American 3DS and I’m living in Europe and it has some battery issues) and I’ve started a Bravely Second playthrough. Then there’s Xenoblade Chronicles X, which I had to restart and have been playing on TheLawfulGeek Stream.
