This week I was nominated not for a blogger award but something much more intriguing, a challenge! Specifically, it was the One Liner Tag challenge, and I have to thank Megan from A Geeky Gal for the nomination as well as congratulate her for the wonderful one liners she wrote!
So, how does this work? Well, here are the rules as set upon by the challenge’s creator:
- Accept and thank your challenger(s) by linking back to their post.
- Make a post of one-sentence summaries/roasts of at least five books/manga/anime/games.
- No spoilers!
- Link back to The Awkward Book Blogger so she can see your post.
- Challenge as many or as few people as you want!
I had some trouble deciding what the subject of my one-line summaries would be, as I like things in all the categories listed. In the end I decided not to commit to a single media and much like my eclectic tastes, I would mix and match! So below you’ll have my one-liners!

On a note about number 9, most people won’t know Sunstone, but it’s written and drawn by my favourite artist, Stjepan Sejic. It’s good stuff, get it if you can!
With that done, I now nominate the following weirdos to the One Liner challenge!
Luna from GamersUnitedGG
Master Timlah of GeekOut South-West
Kim from Later Levels
Chris from OverThinkerY
Teri from SheikaPlate
Ladies and gents, impress me!
“Fatal Frame 5: The must hardcore Wet T-Shirt contest ever!”
Well I say, it’s most definitely a must! 😉
My copy is arriving in a few days. It’s a WiiU game but I’ve been on the fence about buying it forever. Finally decided to get it.
The game has a “wetness” mechanic, the Wet T shirt thing is pretty damn accurate in fact hahaha
The best summary of A Series of Unfortunate Events I have ever seen. Great job on those one liners!
Thanks for the challenge. This was a lot of fun. There aren’t enough community challenges like these 🙂
I agree!
I love the God of War summary.
Thank you! I had a few of them, one with something of a dark joke but this was the better one
I forgot about Warehouse 13 – How could I, I love that show!
How could you?!! Haha
Loved all your one-liners!
Thank you! Thanks for coming up with this great challenge!
